1990 I Live, You Die LP

Dies ist wieder eine weitere untergegangene Band aus der Talentschmiede von Sao Paulo. Sie bieten astreinen Thrash. Schon ihr Demo "Reason to kill" 1988 war echt gut. Ihre Platte dann 1990 ist ein Kleinod für Thrash Liebhaber. Die Jungs spielten schnell und sehr abwechslungsreich. Sie hatten auch ruhige Passagen und gute Gitarreneinsätze. Obwohl die LP auf einem seltsamen kleinen Label erschienen ist sah man sie auch bei uns gelegentlich.
Nachdem mich Gitarrist Luis Eduardo Hess kontaktet hat, kann ich euch endlich mehr zu der Band erzählen (Fotos werden folgen):
CORPSE wurde 1986 in der Stadt Arujá bei São Paulo gegründet. Die Jungs waren noch Teenager, um die 15 Jahre alt! Zum ersten Line up geehörten Sänger Ramiro und Lead Gitarrist Richard. 1987 spielten sie einige Gigs mit VULCANO, BELIAL (einem Projekt von Sérgio und Pomba von VODU) und anderen in Sao Paulo. Ramiro und Richard verliessen die Band 1988 und Luis Eduardo Hess übernahm den Job als Lead Gitarrist, und am Gesang folgte Marcelo. Zusammen nahmen sie dann das Demo "Reason to Kill" auf. Cirilo, der Sänger der Band CLAVION hörte das Tape. Er suchte Bands für sein neues Label "BRZ records" und nahm sie unter Vertrag (CORPSE blieben die einzige Band auf dem Label). Die LP wurde 1990 in nur 30 Stunden aufgenommen und gemastert! Dannach spielten sie Gigs mit ATTOMICA; SARCOFAGO, RDP (in Rio) und anderen, konnten aber nie eine richtige Tour durchführen. 1994 gingen sie wieder ins Studio um das nächste Album aufzunehmen, das den Tital "Justice" haben sollte. Es wurde komplett fertiggestellt inclusive Artwork, doch es kam nie heraus, nachdem es viele Probleme mit dem Label Chef Cirilo gab! 1995 spielten sie die letzten Live Shows und lösten sich dann auf. Nachdem die Aufnahmen viele Jahre verstaubten, hat sie Gitarrist Luis nun für alle kostenlos zugänglich gemacht! Ihr könnt die Songs hören unter:

This is another forgotten band from the big pool of talents in Sao Paulo. They played great Thrash. The demo "Reason to kill" in 1988 was already very good. But the record from 1990 is a masterpiece for any Thrash Metal lover! They played fast and very variable. But they had also slow passages and lots of great guitar work. The LP was released on a small and strange label, but it was also available in Europe after it came out.

CORPSE was formed in July `86 in Arujá, a small city close to São Paulo. They were teenagers, around 15 years old. The band, in that early days, had on its line-up Ramiro performing vocals and Richard on lead guitars, In ’87 they did some gigs in Sao Paulo with bands like VULCANO, BELIAL (an old project formed by Sérgio and Pomba from VODU) etc. Ramiro and Richard left the band in 1988 and Luis Eduardo Hess joined as lead guitar player, and Marcelo started on vocals. With this line-up they recorded the demo tape titled "Reason to Kill". Cirilo, the singer of CLAVION listened to this tape. He was looking for new bands to support a LP recording, and decided to bet on them. The obscure label "BRZ records" was Cirilo’s property, and CORPSE the only band he produced. The LP was recorded and mastered in exiguous 30 hours, in 1990. They made gigs with ATTOMICA; SARCOFAGO, RDP (in Rio) and many more, but could never make a real tour. In 1994 they went to studio again to record the album that would be named "Justice". It was completely finished and the artwork was ready, but unfortunately it was never released, through many personal problems with label boss Cirilo. In 1995 happened the last live shows, and the band split! For many years the tapes were stored, but now gutarist Luis made it available to everybody! You can listen to it at:

Essa e uma das muitas bandas esquecidas do caldeirao de talentos de Sao Paulo. Tocavam otimo Thrash. A demo "Reason to Kill" em 1988 era realmente muito boa. Mas o album de 1990 e uma obra de arte para qualquer amante de Thrash. Tocavam rapido e variado. Mas eles tambem tinham passagens mais lentas e o trabalho de guitarra era excelente. Tal LP foi lancado por um selo obscuro, mas chegou a estar disponivel na Europa na epoca.
